VidyaShakti is an initiative of the Government of Assam (Welfare of Plain Tribes Department) to enable bright ST students of Assam who wish to join India’s top engineering medical colleges. It is a comprehensive year-long coaching program which covers everything from offline and online live classes, practice questions, tests to personal mentoring. Thecoaching program is designed to help the students ace JEE-IIT/ NEET exams.
The government of Assam is partnering with an Education Partner that has more than 35 years of experience in delivering quality coaching programs both in the classroom and online set-up. More than 10000+ students were selected in JEE Main under their program in the previous years.
Students should either belong to the ST community of Assam. Academically, the students should be in Class XII, or Class XII pass or repeaters with minimum 60% marks in Class X Board exams.
The students have to appear for VSAT (VidyaShakti Aptitude Test). The course details for the test and the syllabus is given here. Tests will be conducted in select centres which will be provided once the student registers for the program
Yes, the Government of Assam (Welfare of Plain Tribes Department) is offering the program free of cost. Students have to arrange for their necessary accommodation.
The program is a combo of classroom sessions and online live sessions and will be delivered as a blended program. Classroom sessions will be across six select centers in Assam.
